A group of passionate Canadian photographers called the Alberta Aurora Chasers who use social media to share their obsession
with photographing the Northern Lights, now are being asked to share their photos and knowledge about the celestial
phenonmenon with scientists around the world including those at NASA. In their constant pursuit of these dancing images and
colours of the night sky, they have stumbled upon a phenomenon not previously studied closely by science, and since they made
the discovery, got to name this band of light which they now affectionately refer to as “Steve.
